From July 1st (for at least one year) HOYS will be one of the Global Sky Partners of the Las Cumbres Observatory. We have obtained 60hrs of observing time on the network. We will use this time to enable amateurs without the access to telescopes and cameras to take part in the project.
This involves teaching participants in the usage of the LCO network and how to use the HOYS data for their own research projects. In other words we aim to build a community of amateur researchers as part of HOYS.
Please watch this space for further details and announcements. If you know people who would be interested in taking part in this (i.e. in your local amateur society), please make them aware of the project.
