Apologies – it was so busy on Friday, I forgot to press the submit button ….
We are approaching the summer slump of data coming in – all winter targets have now set and the nights are short in the north. Thus, a brief update on our data and a big thank you to everyone helping out with the project buy either taking and submitting images and/or helping with the processing!
In the image above you can see how many images we have in our database over time. Todays total is about 177350. In those we have made more than 560 million brightness measurements reliably. All those images have now come from about 150 participants, though we know that for several of the accounts more than one individual is contributing. On the website you can also find a map of the approximate observatory locations. If yours is missing, please let us know!
We are continuing with our outreach efforts as well. Some additional talks for the autumn have already been booked and we are slowly approaching talk number 80. The blue ticks in the plot tell you the dates we gave talks, and the map on the website tells you were we have been. If you like a talk for your society, please get in touch.
We also continue with the research. The dates where we published papers are indicated by green ticks in the figure above. Two more publications are currently under review, and a few more in preparation. Stay tuned!
