This week we look at a screen shot of a rather boring looking light curve – more or less flat and most variations look like noise in the data. But that is not the point of the plot 🙂
It is interesting as this is the first query that we successfully made of the newly structured database on the new server. It took quite some time to fix all the issues with the website code after moving everything to a system that is 10yr more modern. A lot of things have to be changed, but we are making steady progress. So far we managed to load the website (see post from week 388), fix all issues with login into the system, displaying the user profile and listing and re-sorting the images submitted. Now the light curve query is partially working – the name solving via SIMBAD is still not fixed.
Once that is done, we will start checking the main functionality of the page – submitting and processing images. And when that is sorted the admin tools (not visible to the normal users) need to be looked at. One at a time…..making progress.
